Re-release of the second full-length album by the German Melodic Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band.
Stranger's debut is probably the 'closest thing to Helloween's "Wall Of Jericho" out there, an essential release in the ancient German Speed Metal chapter. Very worthy of hearing and quite possibly very unheard of and underrated. It takes the band a whopping five years to finally release a new album, and what happens? For starters the entire line-up has changed besides founding guitarist Rikki "Wolfgang" Rieger, and this is probably why there's an entirely new sound and direction here.
In comes some keyboards, synths, a drastic decrease in speed and ballads. At times this almost sounds like early Skid Row, but even more laid back with a far more Hard Rock image around it. Comparing this to debut album, "The Bell", is practically like comparing Helloween's "Walls Of Jericho" to "Chameleon". This could have brought about the bands ultimate doom.
Stored somewhere between Magnum, Skagarack and the German Domain (formerly Kingdom), you will find actually quite acceptable material. The songs are all very soft, with nice hooks which are mainly supported by the very dominant keybord and synthie sounds.
The really interesting and beautiful artwork for the cover. Alone for that reason be worth in your collection! If you like Melodic Hard Rock this album will nice for you!!
